TRECA Partners with D1 Sports Training for Special Event
Columbus, OH - July 7, 2011 – TRECA and D1 Sports Training have partnered to bring star professional athletes from the NFL and NBA to meet with highschool students from TRECA Digital Academy at a special event, Workout with thePros, hosted at the D1 training facility in Columbus.
AJ Hawk of the Green Bay Packers, Lance Moore of the New Orleans Saints, and Chris Quinn of the San Antonio Spurs were among the special guests who spoke with students about the importance of fitness training. There were multiple activities including workout sessions, sports training tips, nutritional advice, and food samples provided by partners. The event was a unique opportunity for TRECA Digital Academy students to rub elbows with former collegiate athletes, now NBA stars and Super Bowl Champions.
The event kicks off an extended partnership between the two organizations that will enable TRECA Digital Academy students to attend similar events throughout the year and utilize the D1 services towards their physical education requirements. Because health and physical fitness are such important issues, TRECA and D1 plan to provide ongoing activities for their students that will inspire them to make healthy lifestyle choices.
