Benefits InformationRetirement (SERS/STRS)TRECA will make an employee contribution to SERS/STRS on behalf of staff members. The standard contribution equals 14% of the employee’s calculated salary. The TRECA Board of Director’s may also grant “pick-up” of the employee’s retirement contribution.If the amount contributed by the employee is “picked up” then the amount shall be included in computing the final average salary for retirement purposes, provided that no staff member's gross income is increased by such "pick-up" nor is TRECA's total contribution to SERS/STRS increased thereby. The amount designated as "picked-up" by the Governing Board shall be included in computing the staff member's daily rate for the purpose of sick leave conversion upon retirement. Health Insurance (Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield & VSP Vision)Enrollment: TRECA staff are eligible for insurance benefits on the 1st of each month following the effective start date. For example, staff members with an effective start date May 10 are not enrolled for insurance coverage until June 1. Cost: TRECA pays 95% of the insurance premiums for staff members who accept insurance coverage for Health, Dental, and Vision. Health InsurancePrimary Health Insurance coverage is provided by Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield (http:// www.anthem.com/). Coverage plan level Blue Access (PPO). DentalDental Insurance provided by Anthem Blue Cross- Blue Shield (http:// www.anthem.com/). Coverage plan Dental Blue 200. VisionVision insurance is provided by Vision Service Plan (VSP) (https://www.vsp.com/). Life InsuranceProvided by Anthem Blue Cross and American United Life. Staff Members can opt for either or both Life Insurance policies. Vacation- Staff members accrue 10 days per year; accrue .833 per month
Personal Leave- Staff members are granted 3 personal days per year (1 unrestricted, 2 restricted in use) Sick Leave- Staff accrue 1.25 sick days per month (15 days per year) up to a lifetime total of 250 sick days. |
